Depression Self-Assessment Using PHQ-9
The PHQ-9 (Patient Health Questionnaire-9) is a widely used screening tool for depression. It evaluates how often you have experienced specific symptoms over the past two weeks. This self-assessment can help you understand your mood patterns but is not a medical diagnosis.
How to Use This Calculator
- Read each question carefully.
- Select the option that best describes your experience for each symptom.

- 10–14: Moderate Depression – Moderate symptoms; consider talking to a counselor or professional.
- 15–19: Moderately Severe Depression – Significant symptoms; professional support is recommended.
- 20–27: Severe Depression – Severe symptoms; seek immediate professional help.
